Function and Purpose
A menu item defines what is displayed when clicked in the frontend. When creating one, you choose the menu item type, for example “Single Article”, “Category Blog” or “Contact Form”. Additional settings control layout, metadata and access level.
Menu Item Types
- Single Article: Displays a selected article.
- Category Blog / List: Lists articles from a category as a blog or table.
- Component Views: Opens views of other components, e.g. Contacts or Banners.
- External URL: Links to an external website.
Important Notes
- SEO: The menu item alias becomes part of the URL.
- Template Style: Assign different styles to menu items to vary page layouts.
- Access Control: Use access levels to determine who can see the menu item.
