Function and purpose
Modules complement the main content of a page. Typical examples include navigation menus, login forms, search boxes, or lists of recent posts. They are assigned to a module position in the template and can be shown or hidden depending on the menu item.
Common modules
- Menu: Displays the navigation items of a menu.
- Login: Form for user login.
- Articles – Latest: List of the most recently published articles.
- HTML: Insert custom HTML or scripts.
Important notes
- Assignment: Set per menu item whether a module should be displayed.
- Reuse: The same module can be assigned to multiple positions.
- Custom modules: You can program or install custom modules to provide individual functionality.
