Advantages Compared to the Classic Search
- Speed: Because of the index, search results are available instantly.
- Relevance: The search ranks hits by frequency, stemming and other factors.
- Autocomplete: Users get matching suggestions as they type.
Important Notes
- Update the index: After changes to articles the search index should be updated.
- Modules and plugins: Use the “Smart Search” module for the search field and enable suitable plugins for indexing.
- Classic search: The classic search is still available but often returns less relevant results.
