Function and Purpose
With categories you group similar content together. A category can contain subcategories, creating a hierarchical structure. Each category has its own alias and can be managed in the backend.
Use Cases
- Blog structure: Categories help organize blog posts by topic.
- Section-specific content: For news, products, or testimonials you can create dedicated categories.
- Other components: Banners, contacts, or newsfeeds can also use the category system.
Important Notes
- No multiple assignment: An article always belongs to a single category.
- Uncategorized: Content without a category defaults to “Uncategorized”.
- SEO: Category names and aliases are included in the URL structure.
