Function and Purpose
The Super User (Super Admin) has unlimited rights in Joomla. This group is created during installation. Super Users can create all other user groups and assign permissions.
Common Tasks
- System administration: Access to the Global Configuration and server settings.
- User management: Create, edit, and delete users.
- Extensions: Install, update, and remove components, modules, and plugins.
Important Notes
- Security: Protect Super User accounts with two-factor authentication and strong passwords.
- Limit the number: Grant Super User rights only to people who need them.
- Essential: Never lock out all Super Users, or you’ll lose access to critical functions.
